Please note a credit check will be carried out prior to full acceptance being offered.
Please complete and return the application form and submit to the school via email to firstname.lastname@example.org or in person together with the following documents:
- Proof of payment of administration fee
- Pupil’s birth certificate
- Pupil’s latest school report
Once all documents have been received, the school will be in contact to discuss the admission policy and assessment process.
Prospective students are required to attend Canterbury Preparatory School for a “stay-for–the-day” and assessment in the relevant grade. Parents will be given feedback after the assessment. During the course of the day, teachers will be evaluating your child’s academic ability, behavioural and emotional levels and social interaction. Students will also complete short, age appropriate assessments in English and Mathematics. The Junior primary learners are assessed for recognition of learning of the concepts taught in the appropriate grade.
The school will contact you with regards to the “stay for the day” assessment.
Should provisional acceptance be granted, a financial check will take place.
At this point, the following documents are required:
- Pupil’s immunisation certificate
- Parent’s ID documents / Passports and relevant visa
- 3 months bank statements
- Financial Clearance from previous school
Upon successful application, an offer will be made.
A non-refundable deposit is required in order to secure placement.

External Examination Fees
Grade 6 Cambridge Checkpoint Exams: Math, Science & English at ± £17.00 per subject. (Exact Rand values will be determined by the prevailing exchange rate)
Sport & Education Tours
All funds relating to sports and educational excursions must be paid in full prior to departure. If school fees are in arrears, students will not be permitted to go on any tour until the outstanding school fees are paid. In certain circumstances the price of the tours may be included in the invoice of your school fee account.

Academic Fee Structures
The school currently does not have a debit order facility.

An administration fee of R250 is payable with each application. The booking of an assessment is confirmed upon receipt of the payment. This fee includes a compulsory Credit Risk Assessment (CRA).
A non-refundable registration fee of R4000 is payable once a student has been offered a place at the school. Provided spaces are available, the place will be confirmed once payment is received
