There are many sentimental and practical reasons why human beings need music.

We all use music in different ways. How we worship, to create a mood or an ambiance, too evoke a memory or simply bring about joy. Research has shown that listening to music can reduce anxiety, blood pressure, and pain as well as improve sleep quality, mood, mental alertness, and memory. Listen to what your kids or grandkids listen to now, new music challenges the brain in a way that old music doesn’t. I enjoy teaching music because it breaks down barriers. It teaches us about different cultures and allows us to explore the better part of ourselves. Learning through happiness is any teacher’s greatest reward.
